Hide in a shed that's cached with Ocean Spray Juice
For you and me too
Join with the ranks of cats that rally for food
On the fence and street too
Oh the garden comes through
Oh the garden shines through
Oh the garden comes through for you!
Oh when we were young you
Oh when we were young you
Oh when we were young you were young too!
Cascading rhymes you spit out stumbled but true
For your crew and you too
Salting my arm that sweats and slips in my grip
On your wrist! Be alone for now
Oh when we were young you
Oh when we were young you
Oh when we were young you were young too!
Oh the garden comes through
Oh the garden shines through
Oh the garden comes through for you!
Oh when we were young you
Oh when we were young you
Oh when we were young you were young too!

Quarry

This is a quarry filled with stones
Among them ones I wish I'd thrown
into the open ocean
Let me forget
But now this quarry's flooded in
With water filled up to the brim
This will make things easier from now on
Guess I didn't have throw them after all!
This is what I've been hoping for
Bodies sink but don't reach the shore
This is one more day I won't have worry where to land!
This is a city filled with homes
Among them ones I wished I'd known
Enter in the hallway
With my head hung low
Impress the mother with my wit
And kiss the daughter on the lips
I send a wink the dad's way
As if to say:
This will make things easier from now on
Guess I didn't have to try hard after all!
This is what I've been hoping for
A chance to rest and a chance to score
This is one more day I won't have to worry where to land.
This is a body filled with bones
Among them ones I really hope
Don't break into pieces

Zombie Song

Where did you learn to dance like that?
Can you teach me? I’ll keep my hands on her back,
Like glowing fingers tucked inside her neck,
Her voice embraces mine, I never want to give it back.
And I’ll eat the food you have put upon my plate,
Not meaning to be rude, but I don’t think I will stay for the wedding cake,
I call out to you, I come unglued,
Our best friend is mad, he punches me in the head,
Oh he wishes I were dead,
Now I’m his zombie friend,
restless to the end,
restless to the end,
Cold noses and wristwatch bands left from summer,
Can you hold it? This hand that’s rotting fast, before it’s gone,
And zombie’s don’t survive well in this snow,
Our limbs move slowly and our hearts grow numb.
And I’ll enter in the room, can’t I ever wander back?
To my zombie tomb, keep me frozen and intact,
I see our friend and say, “if you want me to, I’ll leave here!”
My teeth are falling out my gums, if he hits me now, I’d fall apart,
Oh I know I’d fall apart!
Oh the chambers of my heart,
Oh so zombified they start,
and never stop

House

They took my house, now I have empty dirt,
Trucks came by and took it piece by piece,
If it snows, I’ll sleep at a friend’s house,
Until then, this dirt is my home.
Speak now, Darling,
Keep all your presents for yourself,
Speak now, Darling,
Keep all your presents for yourself,
Live in grass I grew hear. Street lights pierce through the blades,
It grows tall, but I still sit,
Like a pillbug in my stomach I grow hungry,
Oh not again! It’s starting to snow!
And she sleeps so soundly,
ratatat on the window ‘till she comes,
And I walk aroundly on her face, through the window, moonlight shone
And it’s cold on the window sill,
My chests on the concrete still,
Here hands wave me in and so,
My arms push the window,
Only for my only love,

Raccoon

Peaking out through the wood-framed glass, the metal shine within the grass
Baited and set I dream of when, in the palm of my hand, my finch my friend
This is my only time I live here,
I'm gonna catch my only friend!
I'm gonna catch!
Killing off days with work and rent
Move to the woods and take tasks less
Am I just clumsy and foreboding?
So much that outside cowers in?
Please don't cower!
Put all of your prayers inside the hollow tree
And wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and wait
It worked for me.
Solid strength can't beat what you want with all the heat
Inside your chest, your chest, your chest!
Don't you believe?
'Til on my way home I see a raccoon!
It runs, it's not mine.
Running through the woods, in hot pursuit of what I thought I wanted
Don't you believe?
Solid sticks on tress, a strong defense against me
Oh my face, my face, my face
Begins to bleed.
Until three days the trail has worn thin
My head's will faces racoons aren't so nice
Cold and frozen with no home!
All my memories are controlled
By emotions
Where'd I run from?
Where'd I run from?
History changes with my mood.
